Well, I have not been able to talk on the weblog nearly as much as I had expected, because of the fact that I’ve been running around town with my Dad manage his wet & wild midlife crisis. Okay, I suppose it’s not as far out as it could be. Basically what he did was to get himself dressed up like the Fonz or something, and storm over to my apartment and tell me, in his jazziest dialect: “Get in, son, you and I are going out vying for some classic Ford Mustang Sales. That’s right, youngster, I’m going to buy an old school muscle car.”

Next thing I know we were off to a few of those crazy vintage car sales lots that you’re mostly convinced are not quite on the up and up, and I witness the crazy old guy cut a check within just a few minutes, for an unnaturally gleaming classic Ford automobile. I mean, it really is an intense item. It had a great sound as well.

There’s a reason why I said that in the past tense. It sounded perfect right up until it became silent. My pops tells me that it’s a quick fix and that all he requires is the right part. I’m thinking, it’s not as straightforward to get your hands on classic Ford Mustang parts as it was over a million years ago, but my Dad insists that there is a pretty good-sized aftermarket for them in spite of their age. From what I’m told the the best bet for finding parts for 1967 Mustangs is via internet auctions, since you can find them refurbbed and sometimes as good as new. They’re not necessarily that inexpensive, though… After all, they are half-century old Mustang parts.

Could be worse, though… He might’ve got himself a mail-order bride.
